Session Fees

KYND Psychology is a private billing practice and does not offer bulk billing. Payment is due on the day of your appointment unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.

Fees apply to standard 50-minute sessions. After hours appointments attract a higher fee. For current pricing, please contact info@kyndpsychology.com.au.

 

Medicare Rebates

Clients referred by a GP or psychiatrist under a valid Mental Health Care Plan may be eligible for Medicare rebates for psychological treatment.

As sessions are provided by a Clinical Psychologist, the current Medicare rebate is $145.25 per session. Eligible clients may access rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, subject to Medicare requirements.

 

Please note that Couples Therapy sessions are not eligible for Medicare rebates.

 

Private Health Insurance

If your extras cover includes psychology, you may be able to claim a rebate through your private health insurer. Eligibility and rebate amounts vary between providers and levels of cover, so please check directly with your insurer.

Please note that the same session cannot be claimed through both Medicare and private health insurance.

 

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or unattended appointments, incur the full session fee. Medicare rebates do not apply to cancellation fees.
