Individual and couple therapy sessions with a clinical psychologist are delivered in person from our Kew practice, close to Hawthorn, Camberwell, Balwyn, and Richmond.

Couple Therapy
Couples therapy helps partners better understand their relationship dynamics and develop healthier patterns of communication and emotional connection.

Funding Options
Referrals
A referral is not required to book an appointment at KYND Psychology. Clients can attend privately without a referral.
A valid referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan are only required if you wish to claim Medicare rebates.
Medicare Rebates
Clients referred by a GP or psychiatrist under a valid Mental Health Care Plan may be eligible to receive Medicare rebates for psychological treatment.
As sessions are provided by a Clinical Psychologist, the current Medicare rebate is $149.05 per session. Eligible clients may access rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, subject to Medicare requirements.
Please note that Couples Therapy sessions are not eligible for Medicare rebates.
Private Health Insurance
If your extras cover includes psychology, you may be able to claim a rebate through your private health insurer. Eligibility and rebate amounts vary between providers and levels of cover, so please check directly with your insurer.
Please note that the same session cannot be claimed through both Medicare and private health insurance.
Session Fees
KYND Psychology is a private practice and does not offer bulk billing.
Appointments are 50 minutes in duration. Payment is due on the day of your appointment unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.
After-hours appointments attract a higher consultation fee.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or unattended appointments, incur the full consultation fee, as the appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. Medicare rebates are not available for cancellation fees.
